a character can be as perceptive and insightful and intellectually curious as you can possibly imagine the fucking second they show signs of being a little rowdy or boisterous or just generally being cheerful and physically fit they instantly get slapped with the “dumbass” stamp because the faceless masses of general fandom trends still haven’t progressed beyond the immovable jock vs nerd dichotomy i guess

He's 100% on Demetri's level of intelligence!!!#pretending to be a Dumb Jock^TM who doesn't care about nerdy things like being good at math does not an actual dumb jock make #his villain arc was just him doing the guy version of that thing from Mean Girls where Cady purposely fails her calculus tests #so she doesn't look like a math-loving dork #Eli was never actually unintelligent btw #it IS pretty ironic how some people in the CK fandom DO still completely buy into the jock/nerd dichotomy #considering the fucking source material #and also how Hawk and Dem's ENTIRE arcs were them in fact realizing they can be both Jock and Nerd it's not illegal #Demetri just had to become more Jock and Eli had to become more Nerd EZ #eli moskowitz #hawk
